You might feel embarrassed calling the counselling service, but you can always send them a quick e-mail first to see what they think. They offer friendly, non-judgemental support to students who may be experiencing difficulties including; anxiety, bereavement, problems with alcohol and drugs, depression, eating disorder, examination anxieties, homesickness, anger, relationship problems, insomnia, abuse, concerns about sexuality, worries about appearance, etc.

Doctors for Doctors
Aims to provide help to doctors and students who find themselves in difficulty, be it through giving them reflective space to talk through issues or signposting to more appropriate organisations. We believe in early intervention where a colleague is showing signs of distress. If you feel that Doctors for Doctors could be of benefit to you or a colleague, please contact us.

Provides a range of guidance and support to disabled and dyslexic students, including advice about claiming Disabled Students' Allowances, trained note-takers, readers, interpreters, orientation for blind and visually impaired students, transcription of material into Braille, large print and on to tape, support with exam concessions and dyslexia strategy sessions, 24 hr personal assistance scheme.Open: Monday to Friday 10.00am - 4.00pm

Promotes and supports work placement activity throughout the University.

The Student Services Centre joins together various sections of Student Administration and Accommodation. Now located in the new Student Services Centre building. Provide a wide range of key administrative services to students and staff.
